How to Join

To join the International Virginia Woolf Society, or to renew your membership, please first enter the requested information on the  membership form. You will receive a confirmation page when all your information is entered, and from there you can choose from the following options to make your payment either by using PayPal or by mailing a cheque or money order.

  • 1-year student,retired, or not full-time employed membership ($15 US)
  • 1-year regular membership ($35 US, with optional $5 or $10 donation to the society)
  • 5-year regular membership ($130 US, with optional $25 or $50 donation to the society)
  • 5-year retiree membership ($60 US)

Note that your information will be automatically downloaded to a spreadsheet, for use by the Treasurer and the Membership Coordinators.

To join or renew, please click on the  MEMBERSHIP FORM. Members of the Society receive a free subscription to the Virginia Woolf Miscellany, the Woolf Society Newsletter, an annual Bibliography of Woolf Scholarship, and an annual updated list of members. Those members who have e-mail addresses are also included in a distribution list that provides early notification of special events, electronic balloting, and electronic versions of the newsletters. In addition, members receive early notification of the Annual Woolf Conferences, and information about other events and publications of interest to readers of Woolf.



How to Donate

You may add donations when paying your membership fee, by selecting one of the specified amounts. If you would like to donate a different amount, or if you would like to donate without purchasing membership, please use the PayPal button below. 
To make a donation of your choice to the International Virginia Woolf Society:             
Donations to the Society will be used to fund the Angelica Garnett Undergraduate Essay Prie (see description below), conference travel grants to students, and continuing communications and activities in the society.

The Angelica Garnett Undergraduate Essay Prize
 
Beginning in 2015, the International Virginia Woolf Society will hold an undergraduate essay competition in honor of Virginia Woolf and in memory of Angelica Garnett, writer, artist, and daughter of Woolf’s sister, Vanessa Bell.
 
Essays will be judged by the officers of the International Virginia Woolf Society and the winner will receive $200 and have the essay published in the subsequent issue of the Virginia Woolf Miscellany.
