The Virginia Woolf Society of Great Britain
  • The Virginia Woolf Society of Great Britain aims to present Virginia Woolf in her true light as a great novelist, essayist, publisher and woman of letters by stimulating research into her life and works; providing opportunities for members to meet, correspond and share their enjoyment of her work; and acting as a focal point for British scholars and enthusiasts alike.
The Virginia Woolf Society of Japan
  • The Virginia Woolf Society of Japan was first formed in the 1977-78 academic year, when seminar meetings were organized in Tokyo for the purpose of establishing the Society.  On May 15, 1979, the Society published the first issue of the Newsletter of Virginia Woolf Society of Japan.  In Autumn 1980, the first Annual Conference of the Society was held; these conferences continue to be held each Fall, in addition to regular regional meetings during the rest of the year. In 1984, the Society began the annual publication of the Virginia Woolf Review.
Société D'Etudes Woolfiennes (France)
  • This Society for Woolf Studies in France was formed in April, 1996.  The Society web page provides information about officers, conferences, and publications.

The James Joyce Society
  • The International James Joyce Foundation was created in 1967 at the First International James Joyce Symposium, held on Bloomsday--June 16--in Dublin. Its purposes are to encourage scholarship, criticism, and study in regard to the life, work, and career of the writer whom many regard as the preeminent figure in modern literature, and to facilitate and coordinate ways in which scholars, critics, teachers, students, and general readers may meet together, correspond with each other, learn from one another, and help each other in achieving a greater appreciation and understanding of his work; these purposes have been carried out with increasing success.
The Katherine Mansfield Society
  • The Society is designed to promote and encourage the worldwide appreciation and enjoyment of Katherine Mansfield's writing. Whilst the Society's scope is international, it has strong New Zealand representation, and part of its focus is to ensure that KM continues to be recognized as New Zealand's greatest writer, and internationally, her most famous.
The T.S. Eliot Society (U.K.)
  • The primary focus of the Society is in the United Kingdom, although members from around the world are welcomed (there are separate societies in the USA, Korea, and Japan). Among its many activities, the Society promotes the Annual TS Eliot Cambridge Lecture, and produces an annual Journal.  It also  encourages local branches and local meetings to enable as many members as possible to meet, to celebrate and to promote T S Eliot and his works.
The T. S. Eliot Society (U.S.)
  • Founded in 1980, the Society is an international association of persons interested in the art and thought of T. S. Eliot. Our annual meeting is held in St. Louis, the city of Eliot's birth, on the weekend closest to his September 26th birthday. Among other activities, the meeting features the T. S. Eliot Memorial Lecture, given by an eminent scholar or poet.

  • The Modernist Studies Association is designed to bring together scholars who are working on all facets of literary and cultural activity between the later 19th-and the mid-20th century.

Society for the Study of Narrative Literature
  • The Society for the Study of Narrative Literature is an international nonprofit association of scholars dedicated to the investigation of narrative, its elements, techniques, and forms; its relations to other modes of discourse; its power and influence in cultures past and present.  "Narrative" for us is a category that may include the novel, epic poetry, history, biography, autobiography, film, the graphic arts, music, performance, legal writing, medical case histories, and more.
