The University of Toronto ranked first in Canada in all 11 subjects tracked by Times Higher Education’s World University Rankings by Subject 2025 – and is one of only six universities in the world to rank in the top 30 across the board.

The only other institutions to place in the top 30 across all subject categories were the University of California, Berkeley, University of Cambridge, Harvard University, Stanford University and University of California, Los Angeles.
