In HTML format, texts are presented, for the most part, UTF-8 (Unicode). The coding of individual files is embedded in the files themselves. Your browser will recognize the encoding automatically and display the text correctly. The following conditions will interfere with the correct display of such texts:

PDF format allows readers to view and print texts as they would appear in a printed book. To view PDF format files, you need the Adobe Acrobat Reader, a programme distributed for free at the Adobe Web site (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/). I recommend newer versions of the programme. Earlier versions cannot read all PDF files. |
