Microsoft Campus Agreement Products
The Microsoft Campus Agreement allows faculty and staff to
install Windows and Office on U of T-owned computers only.
For personal computers, the software must be purchased through a retail outlet such as the Microsoft Store Canada in the following scenarios:
- If you are a U of T student and want to install Windows on a personal workstation
- If you are faculty or staff and want to install Windows on a personal workstation

Microsoft Office on a Personal Workstation for Faculty, Librarians, and Staff (Free)
If you are a current U of T faculty, librarian or staff member and have an appointment of 20% or more, included with your UTmail+ account is access to full desktop versions and mobile versions of Microsoft Office. Note: Since UofT has moved to Office 365 the University does not have access to the Home Use Program (HUP) anymore as it is a benefit of traditional on premises Office licensing.
Microsoft Office and Windows on a U of T Workstation for Faculty, Librarians, and Staff (Free)
To obtain Microsoft Office and Windows through the Microsoft Campus Agreement for a U of T owned/leased workstation:
Note that you must be on the U of T wired or wireless network to access this website. If you are off campus you can install UTORvpn (https://vpn.utoronto.ca) to access the U of T network.
- Log in with your UTORid and password (this will check to ensure you are an active faculty or staff member)
- Click the Campus Agreement Media Downloads button.
- Download, install, and activate products.
