  • The Nipissing RDC, a branch of the Toronto RDC, is now open for research! (February, 2017)
  • The CRDCN has received renewed funding from SSHRC and CIHR that will take the RDC Program through to 2021. Read the news release. (.pdf) (September, 2016)
  • The Toronto RDC was proud to be the host of the 2015 CRDCN National Conference, held at the Toronto Marriott Bloor Yorkville Hotel on November 5th and 6th, 2015 with a workshop on the 4th at UofT. The CRDCN Conference showcased RDC research from around the country, and offered policy makers the opportunity to see the latest research being conducted. (November, 2015)
  • The Data Liberation Initiative has created a website containing metadata about both StatCan's PUMF (Public Use Microdata Files) and Master Microdata files that can help you choose whether PUMF or RDC data will help answer your research question. (November, 2013)
  • Joanna Jocob, Toronto RDC Analyst, is on maternity leave as of February 8, 2013. In her stead, Ruben Mercado will fill in for her for the year. We wish Joanna all the best with her new baby, and welcome Ruben to the Toronto RDC!
  • The CRDCN's 2012 Annual Conference's theme is "Evidence-Based Policy Formation and Devlopment." The conference will be held on October 23 and 24, 2012 at the Wu Convention Centre on the University of New Brunswick campus. Check the conference website for more details. Hope to see you there!   • The Toronto RDC's Academic Director, Michael Baker, has been re-appointed as Academic Director for another 3-year term, ending in June, 2015. All of us at the Toronto RDC are delighted with the news! (May, 2012)
  • One of the York Branch RDC's Statistical Consultants, Melissa Moyser, is taking Toronto RDC Analyst Byron Lee's place for the summer as he prepares for his new career in China. Welcome Melissa! And Byron, we're truly sad to see you go but wish you the very best of luck! (June, 2011)
  • The Toronto RDC would like to welcome Marvin Chen to the Toronto RDC. Marvin is our new IT and Support person, and will work two days a week at the Toronto RDC. Welcome, Marvin! (May, 2011)
  • The CRDCN has created a complete bibliography of all publications published as a result of research completed at the RDCs across the country. The publication database may be found here. (Summer, 2010)
