Provenance of The Annual Register

The Annual Register is a generous donation from Professor Heather Jackson and Professor Robin Jackson. The Jacksons are both English professors at the University of Toronto, and have both published extensively on Coleridge.

The Jacksons acquired The Annual Register, thirty years ago in Traylen, England, as a resource for their research on Coleridge; to access information that would allow them to cross reference the writings of Coleridge with the events of the time. The Jackson’s have donated The Annual Register dating from the year of its first publication, 1758 until 1839. The series is of varying editions, with some being first editions, and others being later printings.
