BC SKIER TAKES GOLD

Yesterday Tricia Anderson (BC) broke the Canada Games Women's Jump Record.
Today she won a GOLD MEDAL. Anderson jumped a distance of 34.9 metres in
Round 2 for a two round total distance of 71.0 metres. Her first round score
of 36.1 metres set a new Canada Games Record in this event. Melanie Dubois
(PQ) took the silver with a total distance of 69.0 metres and the bronze
medal went to Alberta skier Dallas Harrop. Harrop also won a silver medal
earlier today in the women's slalom event.

NINE YEAR OLD BREAKS HER OWN RECORD 
JENNA MIELZYNSKI (ON) must not have been satisfied with her new Canadian
record yesterday, in the Women's jump final, she broke her own record again
today to set another NEW CANADIAN RECORD in her respective division (Girls 1
- 9 & under). With her second round jump of 13.4 metres she broke her own
record of 12.8 metres which she set yesterday.
