BC JUMPER BREAKS OWN CANADIAN RECORD

Clint Baikie (BC) added a bonus to his gold medal performance by breaking
his own Canadian Record which he set in the first round of Men's Jump.
Baikie broke the eight year old record on Tuesday with a distance of 44.8
metres. Baikie impressed the crowd by flying 45.5 metres through the air.
This is also a NEW CANADA GAMES RECORD. The previous record of 44.8 metres,
which Baikie had tied, was set in 1973.

Teammate Frankie Wedd (BC) took the silver medal with a total distance of
86.4 metres followed closely behind by Guillaume Pare (PQ) with a bronze
medal performance of 86.1 metres.

Records...Records...Records....
Throughout the water ski competition this week, we saw 4 NEW CANADA GAMES
RECORDS and 5 Canadian Records. Water ski officials are ecstatic about the
performances put on by the athletes.
