NEW WORLD RECORD SET IN MEN'S JUMP EVENT

Bruce Neville (AUS) soared to a new world record in the men's jump event at
the Extreme World Cup this weekend.  Neville jumped a distance of 67.8
metres (222 feet), surpassing his old world mark of  67.2 metres.  Along
with his new world record, Neville received $8000 in prize money and a brand
new truck.

The excitement in the men's jump event continued as seven jumpers leaped to
distances over 200 feet.  Curtis Sheers (AUS) and John Levingston (AUS)
claimed second and third places respectively with jumps of 66.4 metres (218
feet) and 64.8 metres (213 feet).  Canadians Jaret Llewellyn (Innisfail, AB)
and Jim Clunie (Tisdale, SK) placed sixth and seventh respectively with
spectacular jumps of 63.8 metres (209 feet) and 63.4 metres (208 feet).
Richard Clunie (Tisdale, SK) placed tenth with a jump of 52.8 metres (173 feet).

Jeremy Kovak (Millgrove, ON) dominated the wakeboard event, winning his
third consecutive World Cup event with 21,643 points.  Jacob Koncak (USA)
placed second with 19,668 points and Darin Shapiro (USA) placed third with
19,593 points.  Canadian Colin Ellis (Oakville, ON) took sixth place with
16,788 points while Jeff Heer (Richmond, BC) placed ninth with a score of
13,905 points.

In the women's slalom event, Susi Graham (Kitchener, ON) placed third with a
run of 1.5 buoys at an 11.25 metre line (49.25 buoys).  Jennifer Leachman
(USA) won the slalom event following a run-off against Toni Neville (AUS).
