For Immediate Release March 10, 1997 Melbourne, Australia CANADIAN WATER SKIERS AT WORLD CUP '97 Canada's Susi Graham (Kitchener, ON) placed third in the first stop of the Women's World Cup Slalom event this weekend in Melbourne, Australia. Jim Clunie (Saskatoon, SK) finished a strong 5th in the Men's World Cup Jump finals with a distance of 61.2 metres (201 feet). The Moomba Masters Water Ski Tournament was also on the schedule this weekend where Clunie jumped a personal best of 65.10 metres (213 feet) in the preliminaries and managed a 62.0 metre jump (203 feet) for 6th place in the finals. The 1997 Cafe de Colombia World Cup opened the season in Melbourne, Australia which will be followed by 15 further stops throughout the 1997 schedule.
