National Team Selection Committee Selects 1998 National Team.

The Water Ski Canada Barefoot Committee has named the 1998 national 
team that will compete in Australia at the 1998 World Barefoot Water 
Ski Championships.  The following athletes were selected by average 
record capability tournament scores over the 1997 barefoot season.

The 1998 Canadian Barefoot Team: Team members:

This is a team of Veterans that has an unprecendented opportunity to 
be better physically and financially prepared for a Winter World
Championships than ever before.  Welcome to Isabele the teams 
only rookie.  

The team will congregate in Florida as skiers begin to filter down 
in January.  They will compete together again this year at The 
America's Challenge in West Palm Beach.  This tournament will be 
hosted by the South Florida Barefoot Club and will serve as a great 
pre-Worlds warm up in April.  The tentative dates are April 4th and 
5th. Following this event the team plans to train in Mexico before 
heading Down Under.
