CANADIAN SLALOM SKIERS QUALIFY FOR FINALS

The Canadians continued their quest for the World Water Ski Championship
title today in Medellin, Colombia. Five of the six Canadian team members
are scheduled to compete today.

The preliminary rounds of the men's slalom ended today with two Canadians
competing. Drew Ross (Belleville, ON) had a spectacular run, rounding 2
buoys at a 10.75 metre line (56 buoys). This performance places Ross in
second place (3-way tie) for the team skiers going into the slalom final.
Kreg Llewellyn (Innisfail, AB) also skied an awesome run, scoring 3 buoys at
an 11.25 metre line (51 buoys). Llewellyn will enter the slalom final in
seventh place for the team skiers. The men's slalom final is scheduled for
Sunday morning.

Slalom action continues later today with the women's event. Susi Graham
(Kitchener, ON), this year's Cafe de Colombia World Cup Slalom Champion, and
Kim de Macedo (Shawnigan Lake, BC) will take to the water this afternoon.
Last on the water today will be the men's trick event. Jaret and Kreg
Llewellyn (Innisfail, AB) will both be competing in this event.

Stay tuned for more exciting results from our Canadian skiers!
