LLEWELLYN SEVENTH IN TRICK FINAL

The first day of final round competition started today at the World Water
Ski Championships in Medellin, Colombia. Finals today were held in the
women's slalom, men's tricks and women's jump.

After Kreg Llewellyn's (Innisfail, AB) crash in yesterday's men's jump
event, there was some question whether or not he'd be ready to compete in
today's trick final. He was ready. Llewellyn tricked an excellent pass
scoring 8290 points and earning him seventh place in the men's trick final.
Kyle Peterson won the gold with 10730 points.

Tomorrow marks the final day of competition at the World Water Ski
Championships, and it looks like a busy day for the Canadian skiers. Drew
Ross (Belleville, ON) and Kreg Llewellyn (Innisfail, AB) will compete in the
men's slalom final, followed by Jim Clunie (Tisdale, SK) and Jaret Llewellyn
(Innisfail, AB) in the men's jump final. Jaret will be entering the men's
jump final with the best jump of the competition (64.6 metres) - in fact the
best jump ever recorded at the World Championships!

Watch for Canadian overall skier and team results tomorrow!
