JARET LLEWELLYN SOARS 225 FT TO WIN!

Canadian Jaret Llewellyn (Innisfail, AB) wins the first ever
professional Ski Flying event at the Cafe de Columbia Water Ski World
Cup. Jaret's jump of 225 ft. (68.58m) is the farthest jump ever at a
professional water ski event. Ski flying uses a longer ramp and a
lowered angle without speed restrictions, propelling skiers farther
in the air. Ski flying promises to be the wave of the future. In the
regular World Water Ski World Cup jump event, Jaret finished 4th
with a jump of 199 ft. (60.65m) Only a mere 12 inches, separated
first to fourth place!

In other World Water Ski Cup action, Canadian Doug Ross (Belleville,
ON) advanced as far as the semi finals in the slalom event, and his
brother Drew Ross (Belleville, ON) made it to the quarter finals in
the same event.
