CANADIAN CHAMPIONS ARRIVE IN FRANCE TO DEFEND WORLD TITLE

Roquebrune-sur-Argens, France - Team Canada has arrived among 45 other countries, prepared to defend their 1991 and 1993 World Championship titles. The Canadian skiers are hot after a successful training camp in Bordeaux, France.

A spectacular opening ceremony in an ancient roman outdoor arena, complete with lasers and fireworks has set the mood for potentially the greatest World Championship event to date.

Thursday will be day one for Team Canada when Men's Slalom preliminaries will be the first event. Canadian skiers Jaret and Kreg Llewellyn (Innisfail, Alberta), Matt Rini (Sydenham, Ontario) and Drew Ross (Belleville, Ontario) will hit the water Thursday morning.
