Members of the GTA community who are NOT registered students at the University of Toronto may audit courses at the Slavic Department. Individuals interested in auditing a course must: 1 ) obtain the course instructor's permission to audit; 2) pay the course auditing fee as determined by the Faculty of Arts and Science. The auditing fee should be paid to the Slavic Department's business officer Anthoula Vlahakis (Alumni Hall, 4th floor; e-mail: a.kampouris@utoronto.ca).
The Slavic Department does not allow registered UofT students, undergraduate or graduate, to audit its courses. Students interested in a course at the Slavic Department must officially enroll into that course. Scheduling or program conflicts are not a valid reason for requesting permission to audit a course at the Slavic Department.
Graduate students who wish to enroll in an undergraduate language course at the Slavic Department can do so by enrolling in one of the following: SLA1041Y Advanced Training in Slavic Languages I; SLA1042Y Advanced Training in Slavic Languages II; SLA1043H Advanced Training in Slavic Languages I; SLA1044H Advanced Training in Slavic Languages II. As a condition of enrolling in one of these courses, graduate students will attend an undergraduate language course, do all the coursework and testing required by that course, and receive a graduate credit for it.
