Heritage

This image shows the two wings along with the main house built by Tolstoy's grandfather. Since the main house had been dismantled and carted away, Tolstoy raised his family in the left wing, which was expanded as the family grew. The right wing came to be known as the Kuzminsky house (Dom Kuzminskikh), because Sofya Tolstaia's sister Tanya Kuzminskaia so often spent the summer there with her husband and children.
