Prof. Cheryl Misak

Cheryl Misak is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Toronto. She is the author of Truth and the End of Inquiry (Oxford University Press, 1991), Verificationism: Its History and Prospects (Routledge, 1995) and Truth, Politics, Morality (Routledge, 1999). Professor Misak is an expert of Charles S. Peirce’s semiotic theories, and significant portions of the first two volumes are devoted to Peirce's theory of signs and meanings. Professor Misak is on the executive committee of the C.S. Peirce Society, and is an executive editor of the Canadian Journal of Philosophy. She has published extensively in learned journals, and edited a supplementary volume of the Canadian Journal of Philosophy. Pragmatism (1999).
