Peter A. Reich is Professor of psycholinguistics and language acquisition. At present he is the Chair of the Department of Linguistics at the University of Toronto. Professor Reich is on the Board of Directors
of the “Linguistic Association of Canada and the United States” (1974-), and the “Blissymbolics Communication International” (1989-). His areas of interest are: I. Psycholinguistics; II. Language
acquisition; III. Blissymbolic Communication. Professor Reich has been working toward a cognitive model of language behavior, based on relational network grammar within linguistics, spreading activation theory
within psychology, and natural language processing systems within computer science. In recent years he co-authored Blissymbol Reference Guide (Blissymbolics Communication Institute, 1992), and authored Language development (Prentice-Hall, 1986). Professor Reich published extensively in learned journals and edited volumes.
