ERIN RILEY is a second year student in the 2011 Master of Public Policy program at the University of Toronto’s School of Public Policy and Governance.  Erin obtained her Combined Honours in Political Science and International Development Studies from Dalhousie University and her Bachelor of Laws from the University of New Brunswick.

While at the University of Toronto, Erin completed a contract with the World Bank doing research regarding the governance of grant institutions that donate to indigenous peoples in forest dwelling communities, as well as a contract with the Federal Department of Justice on the regulation of carcinogens. Erin has also recently worked with the City of Toronto in the Shelters, Support and Housing Administration Division in the regulation of homeless shelters. Prior to attending the School of Public Policy and Governance, Erin Riley was a solicitor at the Department of Justice in the Province of Nova Scotia. Erin also spent a summer researching the provision of infrastructure and services in community-led housing developments in Malawi in a partnership with the University of New Brunswick and the University of Mzuzu.
