Dr. David Chu Scholarships in Asia-Pacific Studies

The Dr. David Chu Program is proud to provide a number of annual academic scholarships, which are reserved for undergraduate and graduate students of the Asia-Pacific region who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents.

Travel Awards

These awards are offered for students conducting research or taking part in exchange or study abroad programs in the Asia-Pacific region. The application deadline is March 15 each year. For more information about eligibility criteria and application procedures, click here.

Leadership Awards

These awards recognizes student leadership and academic achievement in pursuing and promoting extra-curricular research related to the Asia-Pacific region. Students must be nominated by a faculty member for this award. Details are posted on the news page and the Asian Institute opportunities page in late winter each year.

Entrance Awards

Incoming students in the Collaborative Master's Program in Asia-Pacific Studies are automatically considered for an entrance award of up to $5,000.
