The Ecumenical Chaplaincy at the University of Toronto relies on the commitment of those who share our belief in the importance of the spiritual and emotional well being of students, staff and faculty at U of T. You can help in many ways. Contributions are eligible for a charitable receipt.

Monthly Giving Program

Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR) can be arranged for monthly donors. Your consistent support will ensure stable funding for ongoing programs and help us to plan ahead. ECUT PAR contributions will be withdrawn from your bank account through a service provided by The United Church of Canada. To enrol just download the form and mail it to us with a blank cheque. You will receive a charitable receipt at the end of each year.

Legacy Giving

By remembering ECUT in your Will, you can build a lasting legacy. Your estate and your heirs can realize significant tax advantages while your generosity will sustain our important and ongoing work.

Gifts of Securities

Giving a gift of stock, bonds, or property to ECUT can be a very effective way to minimize the tax paid on current income. More importantly, such gifts can make a significant contribution to the spiritual and emotional health of the university community — now and in the years to come.

Tribute Program

A Tribute gift is a truly meaningful way for you to make donation In Memory or In Honour of a friend, family member, or colleague. We will send a card to inform the person/family of your thoughtful and significant tribute.

United Way

You can donate to ECUT by designating your United Way gift. Simply indicate that your gift be directed to The Ecumenical Chaplaincy at the University of Toronto and include our name and charitable registration number (#884133315RR0001) on your cheque or United Way form.

Special Events

ECUT hosts a variety of special events to garner community support and raise awareness of the important work we do. Whether you can attend an event, have money or materials to donate, time and skills to volunteer, or expertise to share, we can use your help – we need your time, your talents, your energy and your passion.

Matching Gifts Program

Many companies have a corporate matching program whereby the company will match the charitable donations of its employees. You could double the impact of your donation.
