The Right Rev. Gary Paterson, Moderator of the United Church of Canada, will be the guest speaker for the 2nd Annual Qu(e)erying Religion (QR) Gala for the Ecumenical Chaplaincy at the University of Toronto (ECUT). Guest artists include Jeffery Straker, a Canadian pop singer-songwriter, and the Tom Reynolds jazz trio. Hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar will also be features of this exciting Gala event.

The Qu(e)erying Religion (QR) program provides a safe place to engage in dialogue about gender identity and religious faith in a spirit of openness instead of religion-based condemnation.  Through bi-monthly scripture study engaging Queer interpretations, support and conversation groups, and the Queer Spirits ! Film festival,  ECUT has been ministering since 2005 to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered and Queer (LGBTQ) students, staff and faculty at the University of Toronto as well as others. Help build the ECUT fund for Gender, Sexuality and Faith by attending AVE QR: Going the Extra Mile.
