Eric Hong Accepts New Position with Alzheimer Strategy

Eric Hong is leaving his position as Program Manager – Psychiatric Rehabilitation at the Whitby Mental Health Centre in order to take up his new role as Alzheimer Strategy Transition Period Project Manager. The Transition Period Project follows the conclusion of the five year Ontario Strategy for Alzheimer Disease and Related Dementia. Supported by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, the Ontario Seniors' Secretariat and the Alzheimer Society of Ontario, its purpose is to integrate and implement the projects and recommendations of the Ontario Alzheimer Strategy.


Mary Jo Haddad Appointed Interim President and CEO of Sick Kids

Mary Jo Haddad, HPME Adjunct Lecturer and alumnus (class of '98), was appointed as Interim President and CEO of the Hospital for Sick Children following the resignation of Alan Gayer on July 19, 2004. Mary Jo Haddad has held the position of Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer since July 2003. Prior to this appointment, she was the Vice-President, Child Health Services and Chief Nursing Officer. Haddad received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Windsor , and subsequently completed a Master of Health Science Administration at the University of Toronto . She began working at the Hospital for Sick Children in 1984, and since then has held positions of significant leadership and responsibility in the healthcare system.
