Chair's Message

The Department of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (HPME) provides scholarly leadership that supports real-world policy- and decision-making.

To that end, one of the main directions included in our 2009-2012 Strategic Plan is developing and supporting collaborative partnerships that bring together people and organizations – in government, business, the non-profit sector, and elsewhere – in the pursuit of health services excellence.

These collaborations are vital to evidence-informed research. By integrating decision-makers in our work, we are able to generate information that gives our partners richer, more complex perspectives on which to base their policies and strategies.
