THETA: Toronto Health Economics and Technology Assessment Collaborative

Since 2007, the Toronto Health Economics and Technology Assessment (THETA) Collaborative has been building strong links between researchers and government policy-makers. Funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC), THETA is a multidisciplinary research collaboration.

THETA is a leading source of expertise in health technology assessment (HTA). It supports the MOHLTC and the ministry’s Medical Advisory Secretariat with evidence-based knowledge needed to make the best decisions about funding new health technologies. One of its main tasks is to disseminate knowledge of HTA among policy-makers and health services providers.

HPME and the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy are THETA’s lead academic partners. The other partners are the University Health Network and Cancer Care Ontario.
