Health Services Research Seminars

2009-2010 – Patient Safety and Quality of Care

HPME's 2009-2010 Health Services Research Seminars series focused on patient safety and quality of care. It was a huge success, with internationally-recognized speakers and full-house attendance.

In February 2010, Lorelei Lingard had to cancel her participation. We are fortunate, however, that Dr Lingard has agreed to deliver her presentation on September 15, 2010. The title of her presentation is Team Talk: Conceptual and Methodological Insights from an Intervention to Improve Patient Safety in the Operating Room. Dr Lingard is the director of the Centre for Education Research & Innovation and a professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Western Ontario's Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry.

Dr Lingard's presentation will take place in Room 208, Health Sciences Building (155 College Street, Toronto), University of Toronto, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m..

As always, this event is free and open to the public. We encourage you to attend and to bring your colleagues.

2010-2011 – Health Information

Plans are well underway for the 2010-2011 Health Services Research Seminar Series. HPME's Kevin Leonard is finalizing the program for a series that focuses on health information.

Look for complete details on the HPME Website in late August 2010.
