Message from the President

Susan Tremblay to Chair New Executive

The 2005 Society of Grads executive was officially sworn in at the alumni recognition event in October, with Susan Tremblay (MHSc, Class of '94) at the helm.

2nd Annual CCHSE/HPME Professional Education Day

The Canadian College of Health Services Executives, GTA Chapter, and the Society of Graduates in HPME will host its annual professional education day, "For Profit Healthcare: What is the Big Deal?" The event will be held on Tuesday, January 17 from 8:30 – 12:30 p.m. followed by lunch at Park Hyatt Hotel, 4 Avenue Road, Toronto . This year's keynote speaker is Senator Hugh Segal, speaking on “The Tough Questions of Public Medicare". This event contributes 3.5 Category 1 MOC credits towards the Maintenance of CHE certification. For more information and to register, see the Society of Graduates website.

Matthew Anderson Receives 2005 CIO of the Year Award

HPME alumnus, Matthew Anderson (MHSc Class of '97) received the prestigious 2005 CIO of the Year Award, recognizing his work as an exceptional Canadian leader who has made an outstanding difference in the advancement of e-Health. Matthew is Vice President and CIO of the University Health Network and, in a GTA-wide collaboration, he is also CIO for the North York Community Care Access Centre, St. John's Rehabilitation Hospital, Toronto Community Care Access Centre, Toronto Rehab Institute and West Park Healthcare Centre.
