Health Care, Technology and Place Seminar Series 2004-2005
The Health Care, Technology and Place (HCTP) Seminar Series is designed
to provide transdisciplinary mentorship to students whose research will
address the interconnectedness of bodies, technologies, places, and work
in contemporary health care. HPME Faculty member Peter
C. Coyte is Co-Director of this Collaborative Program, with Patricia
McKeever from the Faculty of Nursing. The Program is unique at U of T in
linking departments and disciplines from all divisions at the University.
This year's line-up includes a wide variety of stellar Doctoral and Post-Doctoral
graduate students presenting topical issues across the health spectrum.
All faculty and students are welcome to attend, please mark the following
dates in your calendar. We look forward to seeing you there.
All seminars are held from 4pm-6pm at the Faculty of Nursing (50 St. George

Health Law and Policy Seminar Series
The Department of HPME and the Faculty of Law's Health
Law and Policy Group jointly organize the Health Law and Policy
Seminar Series. These stimulating sessions are presented by local, national
and international experts.
Sessions are held from 12:10 – 2:00 pm in
the Faculty of Law Solarium in Falconer Hall (84 Queen's
Park). A light lunch is provided. Everyone is welcome to attend

The Centre for Faculty
Development is a collaborative initiative between St. Michael's Hospital
and the Faculty of Medicine. It provides workshops and seminars
for faculty in teaching, career development, professionalism and health
professional leadership.
Faculty Development
Grand Rounds are generally held on the first Tuesday of each month
at a different GTA teaching hospital. Registration is not required.

Faculty Development
Workshops are devoted to the enhancement of teaching skills throughout
the academic year. Each workshop is free and 3-4 hours in
length. These workshops meets the accreditation criteria
of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been
accredited for 3.5 MAINPRO-M1 credits per each workshop (unless
otherwise noted). Workshops have also been approved as an Accredited
Group Learning Activity under Section 1 of the Framework of CPD options
for the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of
Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Workshops
are held in the University of Toronto Rehabilitation Sciences
