Amrita Daniere (Send

Professor Amrita Daniere is Director of the Programme in Planning
within the Department of Geography. She has worked for over 15 years
on issues related to infrastructure provision, social capital and
community governance in Southeast Asian cities including Bangkok,
Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh City. Her current research project, funded
by SSHRC, involves bringing together scholars from across North
America and Southeast Asia to study the relationship between the
access and use of urban civic spaces and community participation
and improved urban planning. Professor Daniere holds a PhD in Public
Policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard
University.
