Research: For her Ph.D. in the lab, Wendy studied the mechanisms and functions of temporal control of mRNP complexes during the Drosophila maternal-to-zygotic transition. She is staying on for a short-term postdoc during which she will use Drosophila to model a rare human disease caused by point mutations in a translation initiation factor.
