Physician Leadership Program - A Great Success!
The Department of HPME has just completed a successful Fall 2004 Physician Leadership Program. The Program focuses in developing the knowledge and skills required for physician leadership in today's rapidly changing health system.
A total of 34 participants from Ontario, Manitoba and Alberta attended the program in two 3-day modules, one in October and one in November. Thirteen faculty were involved in delivering the curriculum.
A further feature of this Physician Leadership Program is the post-program mentoring component. Interested participants were matched with seasoned health care leaders, who have volunteered to work with these individuals over the next 9 to 12 months.
The program will be offered again in the Fall 2005 - 6 days over two modules (October 20-22 and November 17-19). See the Continuing Education section of the HPME website for program details.
