MacDonald among Top 100 Women
Congratulations to our alumna Shannon MacDonald, BBA, MHSc, CA. Shannon recently joined the ranks of Canada's Most Powerful Women: Top 100. She is one of 12 recipients of the KPMG Professionals Award.
Shannon is a graduate of IHPME's MHSc in Health Administration. Currently, she lives in Halifax where she brings over 20 years of experience in public accounting and consulting to her work as a managing partner in Deloitte's Atlantic operations. In this capacity, Shannon oversees Deloitte's professional services presence in Atlantic Canada, and she sits on the firm's national executive.
Alongside her formal employment, Shannon contributes her expertise through extensive volunteer service. At present, she serves on the board of Mount St Vincent University; chairs the Capital Campaign for the Canadian Cancer Society – Nova Scotia Division; and fulfills the roles of vice-chair and audit committee chair of The Greater Halifax Partnership and the Atlantic Provinces Economic Council.
Adding to her newest laurels, Shannon has twice been recognized as one of the Top 50 CEOs in Atlantic Canada. |
