His 2011 publication, Agape and Personhood with Kierkegaard, Mother, and Paul (A Logic of Reconciliation from the Shamans to Today), is the first in a series celebrating 2000 years of Christian love.

His teaching career in philosophy at Brock spans the period 1967-2003, keeping in focus existentialism, postmodernism, and philosophy of love. David founded in 1982 the Brock University Philosophy Society which has raised around $400,000 for philosophy student scholarships and has hosted over 100 international conferences.
