THE HEALTH PROMOTION SUMMER SCHOOL GOAL AND OBJECTIVES

GOALS

The Ontario Health Promotion Summer School is designed to provide a comprehensive educational experience for health professionals, community workers, managers and health promotion specialists, with an emphasis on translating new knowledge into practice. The curriculum is designed to facilitate personal growth and organizational, community and system improvements.

OBJECTIVES

Participants will increase their knowledge and skills in the core competency areas of health promotion.

Participants will increase their capacity and deepen their learning through hands-on experiences and application of theory into practice.

Participants will experience a learning environment that uses a holistic approach to adult education principles to foster continual learning.

Participants will increase personal and professional networks across diverse cultures and communities.
