IHPME Student Research Conference & Research Day

The IHPME Graduate Student Union (IHPME-GSU) invites you to the 8th annual Student Research Conference on Wednesday, 2 May 2012.

The Student Research Conference is a morning pre-event to the annual Institute Research Day. It will include a plenary expert panel discussion followed by student presentations.

This year’s panel discussion is entitled Challenges of Quality, Evidence, and Patient-Centred Care, and will feature researcher, decision-maker, and patient-advocate panelists.

The event is an initiative of the IHPME-GSU to profile student research and career development, and is attended by both research and professional-stream students at the master’s and doctoral levels, as well as by faculty and alumni.

Participation is free and no RSVP is required.

2012 SOG Education Day

The financial imperative is clear: the health-care system must be transformed. But how? And how can quality be advanced at the same time?

Explore these and related issues by attending the 2012 SOG Education Day: “Transformative Change and Disruptive Innovations: Protecting the Public Health Care System through Innovation and Integration.”

One of the main features of the morning will be a panel, moderated by Neil Seeman, comprising Adalsteinn Brown, Will Falk, and John Ronson. Come prepared for a thoughtful and challenging learning experience with these and other sector experts.
