The Chelsea Hotel is located in the heart of downtown Toronto, within walking distance of the Yonge-University subway lines.

Our conference block of Chelsea Hotel rooms has just filled up, but we are happy to help our delegates.

A limited number of Chelsea Hotel rooms are still available on a first-come first-serve basis at the University of Toronto’s preferred rate (from $170 CAD/night; only one room per reservation).

You will need a credit card to hold the rooms and must cancel by 4pm day of arrival to avoid a no show or cancellation charge.

IMPORTANT: To take advantage of the UofT rate, be sure to ask for the University of Toronto preferred rate AND to present university identification upon check-in (UofT or otherwise). If you do not do so, you will not be granted the preferred rate, which cannot be applied retroactively on the day of arrival.

From Pearson International Airport
By Car
Pearson Airport is approximately 30 km and 30 minutes west of the city centre. Airport limousine services and taxis are located on the ground level of Terminal 1 and the arrivals level at Terminal 3. Fares average approximately C$50.

UP Express
Trains between downtown Toronto and Pearson Airport take 25 minutes and run every 15 minutes. (5:30am - 1:00am Daily)

Driving from Pearson Airport
  • Take Exit 1 and travel to Highway 427
  • Exit onto 427 South.
  • Keep left and follow signs for Gardiner Expressway/Toronto and merge onto Gardiner Expressway East
  • Take the Spadina Avenue exit
  • Turn right on Front St West
  • Turn left onto University Avenue
  • Turn right onto Gerrard Street. Chelsea Hotel, Toronto is on the right

  • From Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport
    Passengers can take the pedestrian tunnel from Billy Bishop Airport to the Mainland. Chelsea Hotel, Toronto is a 10-15 minute taxi ride from the ferry terminal.

    Transit
    The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) offers 24-hour service from Pearson Airport. The most efficient route for arrivals between 5am and 2am is the 192 Airport Rocket, which connects at Kipling Station on the Bloor-Danforth subway line.

    To reach the Chelsea Hotel, board the eastbound train to Yonge/Bloor station and transfer to the southbound platform. Take the train to Dundas station and walk north on Yonge Street before turning left at Gerrard Street.

    An adult fare is approximately C$3.

    GO Transit also offers airport express buses to York Mills and Yorkdale TTC stations from Terminal 1. Buses depart every 60 minutes and fares are approximately C$5.
