Toronto Slavic Quarterly

From the Editors

We would like to welcome you to the ninth issue of the Toronto Slavic Quarterly, the Internet journal of the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at the University of Toronto. This particular issue, like issue 4 , deals with Slavic and East European theatre and drama in both Europe and North America. Along with scholarly articles and reviews, we are happy to present new English-language translations of plays by Daša Drndić, Venedikt Erofeev, Stephen Gechev, Pavol Janík, and Bogusław Schaeffer. Since our efforts alone would never have produced this issue, we would like to take this opportunity to thank our authors and translators for their good will, Professors Veronika Ambros and Tamara Trojanowska for their constant support, and the general editors of the Toronto Slavic Quarterly, Zakhar Davydov and Kenneth Lantz. We hope that you enjoy this issue of the Toronto Slavic Quarterly as much as we enjoyed editing it. Any suggestions or comments are welcome at catwalkjournal@yahoo.ca
