Education and Mentorship

Key Components

"The CHSRF/CIHR Genesis Fellowship Award provided me with opportunities to continue my education in Health Services Research. Dr. Coyte's guidance helped me since the beginning of my research career and especially once I started school at the University of Toronto. This award and Dr. Coyte's mentorship allowed me to gain both academic knowledge and practical experience which helped prepare me for health administration and health economics research".

Wanrudee Isaranuwatchai, PhD. Candidate
Department of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation
University of Toronto

Dr. Coyte’s Chair was designed to promote a teaching-learning-research nexus. Education Programs organized by the CHSRF/CIHR Chair helped to build research capacity pertinent to the settings for the receipt and delivery health care services in the 21st Century.

Education and mentorship activities extended well beyond those associated with junior faculty and graduate trainees, and encompassed faculty and trainees at other institutions in Canada and internationally, as well as undergraduates and high school students who were beginning to make decisions about career paths and educational programs.
