Referendum Results on the New Department Name

The results of the referendum on the Department name are now in. The choice of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation was the overall winner in each of the constituencies by a wide margin. The final votes were:

Faculty Primary Full Time

Faculty Primary Status

Faculty Cross Appointment Status

A recommendation will now go forward for the name to change for submission to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for approval by the appropriate University governance bodies.

We will develop a process for developing an identity, logo's, letterhead and "brand" for the Department.

We are very fortunate to have as our guest speaker, Professor Sharon-Lise Normand, from the Department of Health Care Policy at Harvard Medical School. Professor Normand is a graduate from the PhD program in Biostatistics at the University of Toronto. She will speak about statistical issues in assessing quality of health care.
